[Serious] "Why did you override my instructions?"

My highest degree of cert is EMR, I'm a volunteer community first responder, and I'm only 16, so take this with a grain of salt.

When we're in control of a patients care, we have the choice of doing what we think is operating within our protocols, what we think is appropriate & neccecary, what are the normal / best practices, and what we think is in the best interest of the patient.

You were in control of the patient at that time. You made the decision which I'm guessing you thought was appropriate, necessary, best practice, and operated within protocol. Here, we don't take orders from any bystanders regardless of certification level unless they're actively on the scene with emergency services.
