[Serious] Friends of sociopaths/psychopaths, what was your most uncomfortable moment with them?

An old housemate of mine was one of the scariest and most manipulative people I've ever come across and has left a trail of shell shocked people in her wake. We were both in the public eye for our work, and getting attention is the name of the game for some, so psychopaths are fairly regularly encountered in my field. Anyway, she never once had a speech impediment when I lived with her, shared the stage with her, went to crowded parties with her, saw her give interviews, saw her give speeches. Now all of the sudden her speech impediment is so bad that she's giving talks to sold out theaters about how she overcomes her disability. Honestly, I'm not a doctor and I could be wrong, but it would line up with a history of pathological lying, stealing, manipulation and plagiarism.

It doesn't sound like a lot, but when I see a room full of people applauding her courage, I want to scream out to everyone that she's faking it and taking advantage of them. Last I heard she got paid to talk about her speech impediment for a large women's brand as a voice over on commercials. It's out there. All her friends are weirded out, I'm weirded out. It's weird. It's weird someone can be that blatant in their manipulation.
