Some girl I was friends with as a kid was chatting with me in school about what we got for Christmas. She said she got a jar of perfume and asked me if I wanted to smell it. I said okay, and held out my hand, expecting her to spray it. Instead, she sprayed it on her neck and leaned towards me.

Thing is, she was really, REALLY pretty. I had no confidence, and anytime she would drop a hint my way, I would second-guess myself. When I noticed her looking my way in class, I just assumed she was looking at someone else.

A lot of times I would see our names written together in the center if a heart on the chalkboard. I just dismissed it as someone poking fun. No way she had a hand in that..

One day she told me she wanted to change the spelling of my name, because she thought her way made me sound 'kinda sexy'

In Church one day, she casually placed her hand on top of mine. We spent that whole Church service hand-in-hand.

One day in class, she gave me Hershey Kisses repeatedly. But she never used the word 'Hershey' she just kept asking me if I wanted a kiss, if she could give me a kiss, over and over.

She seemed to hover around me alot in class, chatting with me every chance she got, always chased me down across the street everyday, just to wish me goodbye. It's only now, years later, that I realize.. This girl might have liked me. Which sucks, because I was crazy about her, just too insecure to think she could ever like me.
