[SERIOUS] People who have had near-death experiences, how did it happen and what were your thoughts at the time?

My car fishtailed while I was driving on a dirt track that is bauxite based and so like driving on ballbearings. I shot off the side of the road and into the bush and thankfully managed miss the trees and to stop the car right before hitting a tree. I still can’t believe I didn’t roll the car which is a common thing when losing control on these types of dirt road. I remember freaking out about rolling but otherwise my head was clear enough to remember to not hit the brakes (the tyres would lock up, lose grip, and I’d start skating worse which would lead to rolling). Once I stopped I got out and I just started sobbing. An aboriginal family found me about 15 minutes later and the man put my car back on the road while the children hugged me, patted my arms, and spoke to me in their language. I’m an Aussie so for the non-Australians picture the red dirt outback roads of the Northern Territory. I lived in a remote town and was about 40kms out so I was fortunate the family found me so soon.
