(Serious) People who have survived a murder attempt (by dumb luck) whats your story?

A couple of years ago I was out having a drink with a couple of friends in a sketch part of my town, but if you’re native to it you’re already aware of the dangers or precautions you should take when out and about. I’m always iffy about my surroundings and keep an eye no matter where i’m at.

After leaving the bar and splitting from my friends, I walked home by myself and again keep an eye out of my surroundings or who is ahead of me. Not even 5 minutes after leaving this bar, I pass by a man who decided to take offense of me just staring at him and my surroundings as I walk by and he’s just lookin for trouble making remarks about me and as to why I looked at him.

I’m not really scared of anyone and I don’t take shit from nobody, but I tell him there’s no problem and this dude just whips a gun out his jacket pocket. At this point I’m standing there thinking I’m about to get wiped out from just looking at someone at night who was looking for trouble.

Not only did this make my sense of fear and public precautions in the streets worse, but really it hit even harder that there are people at there who will end your life for no reason or even looking at them the wrong way. Shit world and town I’m in
