Serious question: Why did Giuliani choose to act the way he's now acting?

People don't always act, they also react. Some of what Giuliani is doing may be planned. A lot is not, I am fairly certain. But whatever he does is entertaining and it goes well on television. People watch it. So he gets airtime. And if he likes airtime, he will, maybe not totally consciously, but on some level, realize why and continue with whatever he is doing that gets him on the television.

It's nice to get attention. It's nice to feel wanted. So we do things to get those things.

Same question could be put to Trump. Why would he ever be the way he is? And is that deliberately planned and eight dimensional chess, or is he being an idiot. Because the latter can't be true, because otherwise he wouldn't be that successful, would he? I am almost certain that it's the other way around Trump is being Trump and that got him the Presidency, because for some reason, being like Trump made him successful. It's not an act. It's not something Trump deliberately chooses to be and act like. It's instinct. It's something that happens to him when he gets into certain situations.

It's similar with a lot of people. Giuliani exhibiting strange behavior stabilized his position with both Trump and the media. But his behavior came first.

I may be wrong, but I think that's how that works.
