We should handle it by taxing the insanely rich and billionaires that are responsible for the environmental damage and economic impact of their companies instead of letting them build space programs. The government is responsible for the budget, taxes, and helps ensure wealth distribution is adequate for the average citizen.

The people with money with billions are greedy and powerful, so nothing will change until something dramatic happens that affects the them as well, and the government has a hard time dealing with the ultra-rich, so they continuously are in their pockets.

The news can run this debt story all they want, it's not going anywhere but down until we empower ourselves through democracy and demand our representatives do a better job.
