For a time I lived in a house that was built in the late 1700s. There were multiple homes on a large piece of property all owned by the same family. But only two were habitable. The main house and what was known as the maid house, they were 50-100 feet apart. The family lived in the main house, my girlfriend and a few friends, one being part of the family lived in the maids house. When I met my girlfriend I basically moved in there and was there every night. Anyways, very odd things happened in this house. You could hear people walking around upstairs when no one was upstairs. A glass for seemingly no reason fell and smashed on the floor when I was positive I put it down where that couldn't happen. Most of this could be shrugged off, joked about, explained. Except for the time I was there alone and heard people talking downstairs. Didn't really care, thought one of the girls was home and on the phone or something. I then heard people playing pool, and chatting and I realized it was the family that lived in the main house down there (happened every so often they'd pop over to play pool), so I figured I'd come say hello, right as I'm hitting the last couple steps I noticed it had gotten quiet, walked into the room, no one was there and all the balls were pocketed. Assumed I just missed them and opened the door, all their cars were gone no one was at the main house. Freaked me out. I asked next time I saw them if anyone had been over to play pool, the answer was no.
