This wasn't my house guest, but my boyfriend's. We'll call this guest "Jake".
Jake is quite the character. He was more my boyfriend's former roommate's friend than anyone else's, so he came around to my boyfriend's apartment sometimes to party. And boy, does Jake like to party.
The first memorable occasion was when him and his friend came over (we'll call the friend "Mike"). They got obliterated, as they normally do, and proceeded to try to microwave a stuffed animal my boyfriend won at work. The next morning while cleaning, my boyfriend and his roommate found salt everywhere; on the floors, in front of his roommate's door, all outside of their apartment and they even found a pile of salt under their recliner a week later. I think they stopped buying big cans of salt after that. But that's the most mild story.
The second memory involves Jake and a lot of Kraken spiced rum. Jake drank about 2/3 of the bottle on his own throughout the night, and then proceeded to first vomit and then shit himself all over my boyfriend's bathroom. Mike ended up cleaning it up (poorly), and my boyfriend and his roommate ended up having to replace their shower curtain, both of their bath mats, and our toothbrushes.
The third story is why I never want to interact with this person again. Jake came over and got blackout drunk like he normally does. Other than Jake peeing all over the stairs outside of the apartment, nothing really out of the ordinary happened that night. The next morning is a different story.
Let me preface this my saying my boyfriend and I both vape, and we left our vapes out in the living room all the time with no issue. When Jake drinks, he likes to hit other people's vapes without permission. Although annoying, it's not a huge issue.
I woke up that next morning after the party, and Jake, Mike and Mike's girlfriend had already left. And I couldn't find my vape. I remembered specifically where I'd left it in the living room before I went to sleep (the same place I always left it), but I figured maybe someone had moved it or it was used and got lost in the furniture somewhere. My boyfriend and his roommate woke up, and we started cleaning from the previous night. And that's when I found my vape, totally submerged in a bowl of dirty water in the sink. I had it drying in a bowl of rice for three days, but it was completely destroyed.
Jake didn't admit to it, but I know he did it because 1. He was the only person stealing other people's vapes all night (most of our friends vape so no one else really had a reason to), and 2. He was the only one sleeping in the living room that night (Mike and his girlfriend slept on a futon in my boyfriend's roommate's room). He ended up sending my boyfriend's roommate $25 to give to me because he "felt bad", but to this day he denies doing it. I ended up having to pay $100 of my own money to replace the vape.
Those are the most memorable stories. I know he broke the roommate's lamp and a few other miscellaneous items, too. Jake's not allowed to party with us anymore.
