[SERIOUS] What was something you saw you were definitely not supposed to see?

This one is pretty dark...

My mom had just unexpectedly passed away... my brother and I were to meet my Dad at the funeral home to discuss headstone options, funeral plans, etc. None of which had even soaked in yet as I was running on autopilot from a combination of shock and grief.

Anyway - when my brother and I got to the funeral home we weren’t sure where to go. There were two buildings so we chose one and walked around trying to find where my Dad and the funeral director were. There was not a single person to be found anywhere in this funeral home. I kept walking around assuming I’d find them eventually and I walked into an empty room set up with a bunch of chairs and I look down to my right about an inch away from me is a dead body. Someone just left this old dude in a casket there... that was disturbing but it gets worse.

At this point I just want to figure out how to get out of this building. The only person to be found in it was dead so nope. I’m out. I start walking toward what I thought was the exit door and I start smelling chemicals. I didn’t put two and two together until I discovered the door I thought was the exit door was actually the door to the mortuary room. I was smelling formaldehyde. This door was NOT LOCKED which blows my mind but on top of that the....cabinets? For lack of better words... were not all shut. I saw someone’s foot and I’m pretty sure it was my Mom’s but I can’t confirm because I noped tf out of there as fast as possible.

Seems like negligence on the funeral homes part.. but I’m sure they didn’t assume anyone would be walking around either.
