[Serious] What have you wanted to ask, non-passive agressively, a gun owner?

I understand you meant “shoot at” as in to mean “attempt to shoot the individual “. I would not “shoot at” as that could seem to imply “in the general direction of”.

The below situations are when I would engage a target.

  1. Castle Doctrine in Alabama. If I catch someone in my house uninvited, I can only assume the individual(s) are there to do harm, therefore I will engage without hesitation nor remorse.

  2. Stand Your Ground. First off, I will attempt to ‘stand down’ to diffuse any altercation if possible and deescalate if the individual can be convinced ‘I was wrong and I am sorry’, even if I feel that is a lie.

However, If an individual or individuals threaten with violence in any way and cannot or no time to deescalate the scenario, I will warn them loudly, if possible and time permits, such that any witnesses that may be present can hear my concerns of individual(s). I will then draw my firearm and will not hesitate to engage the targets. The individual(s) will have milliseconds to change my mind as I draw down. If my finger moves to the trigger, it will be pulled.
