Sharpedge revolution call for the gamers

There's people in this community who have a direct channel to the developers to report bugs and exploits, and often times these are fixed extremely quickly. I won't name any names, but they're pretty big and well-respected personalities here. If they want to speak up personally, they're more than welcome to.

That's how this stuff really gets fixed, because what these players do is provide insightful and well-documented reports to the developers that actually contain enough information to diagnose and quickly fix the bug. But what gets publicized in these places is not what's causing the bug or how to fix it. What gets publicized is how to exploit it, and that's all certain players are interested in. It's not done in the benevolent interest of getting bugs fixed. It's done some people can exploit it.

And when big exploits go public, what should players do? Do they ignore it and hope their game doesn't get affected by the people who chose to exploit it? Or does everyone jump in and grab it as fast as they can, risky the overall stability of the game? And what about the people who have no idea what's going on, only to find out later that supposedly players go ahead of them by cheating, or find out a weekend's worth of play has been rolled back because an exploit went public.

That's what we're weighing here. And here we've opted to be a source that DOES NOT facilitate the spread of exploits. It's our choice. And other sites have made theirs, and we both have to live with consequences of those choices.
