You know, it's interesting, because I've also learned a lot from this forum.

I'm a parent of still-very-young-kids, and we're a bi-racial family, and I'm very sensitive to having them be a part of their non-white family (I'm white, my husband isn't). We live in diverse communities usually (and are currently living in a way-outside-my-abilities-to-really-cope-so-I-am-just-doing-my-very-best community), but, reading here, I've really had a long, hard think about what I tell my children and why. And how I exist as an adult in a truly horrific anthropocene (not entirely comfortable with the word, but it seems the best fit). And what we can do to make it better. I don't know where exactly I'm going with this, but I want to thank you all for helping me become more educated. This is a long slog, and we're all in it together.
