First of all, a big percentage of women are on Tinder just for the validation. If you have any close female friends, ask them about men hitting on the online. They all have plenty of orbiters, both from 'real life' on facebook and from Tinder and similar places. One of my female friends has a dude hitting her up literally every single day and she hasn't responded to him in at least 6 months.

Secondly, I think you expect too much from them. Realistically, what can they answer to question like that? "haha:)" is honestly one of the better answers that you'll get. You can't expect her to make a whole conversation about fixing a bike tire. You made a funny (that's a bit of a stretch) remark and she laughed. That's it, just take it for what it is and move on with the conversation.

Also, don't try to have an hour long conversation on there. Ask her out much sooner than you think is normal. If she doesn't respond or says no just move on and maybe hit her up again in a month.

Basically, be funny, direct and quick, to sift through those who seek only validation. Or just don't do online game, it's much easier to get results in real life.
