Shots fired! Jordan Eberle’s practice habits called out by Edmonton Oilers insider

I felt like every time Eberle carried the puck into the OZ, there was a good chance of the puck being turned over without even a legit shot attempt, much less a scoring opportunity.

I somewhat felt the same way about RNH too, but he improved in the playoffs despite not producing very many points either. I think RNH's lack of production is somewhat attributed to Eberle's poor performance, more than the other way around.

The fact that the Oilers had the success that they did, despite our second line under-performing so badly has me optimistic about the future. Makes you wonder how good would we have been if the Eberle/RNH line produced at a level befitting of their salary and skill level? If they were one of the NHL's best second lines like they were supposed to be, god knows how much damage they could've done.

At the same time, I'm worried about Eberle's trade value. Who would take him at his current salary and what would the returns be? Or are we just gonna let him go to Vegas for free?

Anyway, "culture change" is the buzzword used to describe the Oilers' success this year. This culture change didn't get through to Eberle, it seems.
