Midpoint of the 2015-16 season...thoughts?

As a whole we're doing pretty good actually 2 points from a playoff spot albeit at the bottom of the conference still. Every game matters, and when the game starts I know that there is a chance we going to see a win. Still lots of problems but it is a breath of fresh air.

I'd say chia is doing a good job, wasn't a fan of either the Reinhardt trade or the sekera signing and thought we paid too much, but the fact is that they have moves with some solid merit. I love the Kassian trade it's minimal risk, and maybe could have a decent physical player. I wish chia would have pursued Franson for cheap, and got better deals. But the deadline is approaching and that's when we'll see something.

Coaching has been pretty good I guess. I mean I heard that he had a good PP, but they have struggled mightily, and hope he can turn it around but that's a big minus. Some players are succeeding like Yakupov was with McDavid, and Drai should be an all star. He has Davidson playing well, and I think the players really like him, and the play is not as bad as last couple years.

Forwards have been pretty good I think, we haven't seen a full healthy squad which would be amazing. I've been disappointed with the third and fourth line minus Hendricks most nights. But the kids are doing awesome nuge and Ebs picked it up, so can't complain too much other than injuries.

Defense has been a better story than last year, but it wasn't hard to be better. Jultz still does his things that piss everyone off and can't score, but at the start of the season he looked really good. Davidson has been a blessing we have prayed for a late round Defenseman, fayne, nikitin played there way off the team. Sekera started slow but has done better. Nurse is an absolute beast, with rookie mistakes. The rest have been on the bad side of average.

Goalies, disappointed scrivens couldn't play his way back on the team. Talbot has been up and down, but pretty good, and showed glimpses of a solid starter, but also some big gaffes. Nillson was so hot on that win streak, and I Want that so bad every night. I don't think we've found a final solution in these 2, but they are capable of playing NHL games, and have even won us a couple games themselves which is so rare for us oilers.
