Should The Community Judge and Punish Police Behavior?

Law enforcement certainly does live in its own world. I've had a cop of color in this state tell me last year that police today are treated worse than Black people in the 1940s and 50s. Bet that would be news to Emmett Till. I've had a police chief tell me police don't need reform, they deal with such a small percentage of the population and the rest of the community has nothing but good things to say about them or has no idea what police do so they have no opinion. The dude really believed "only the people we deal with regularly complain about us" was a winning argument against reform. And don't even get me started on what cops think about those they arrest, the shit they talk about people in their community. The militarization of police is real and they see fellow citizens as sub-human, the enemy, and aren't shy about that characterization.
