Should HIV Transmission Be Criminalized?

Irrespective of your thoughts on healthcare (assuming you're a propertarian minarchist), if there is to be a neoliberal state then the role of that state should be to ensure that all members are able to function in the economy.

I'm not a minarchist. I'm definitely a statist, more than most libertarians. I am not a neoliberal, either. I'm a classical liberal with centre-right orientations. I currently use the term libertarian as Johnson was the closest to an ideal candidate I got.

I think the healthcare costs in the US are out of control. In places like China it's over 100x less for operations and they're about as good as you get in the US - maybe not the most up to date or the best doctors, but good enough to sew my friends arm back up.

However my more libertarian friends have been pitching the total abolition of prisons (given that they're legalized slavery and all), and I have to say that it's been catching on for me.

I don't agree with abolishment of prisons but I think a lot of people in prison should be released - there's whole classes of crimes that shouldn't even be crimes.

We're getting off topic here, I'm going to take what you've said re: sex practices and the like and think it over and play out the consequences in my head - so I can better understand what exactly the ramifications could be.
