Player or fan, describe the moment you knew hockey was your sport.

Watching Roy's goalie fights with Osgood, Vernon, Hasek... i had already loved hockey, but it became my one true love after that. those colorado years where we were selling out arenas and winning cups were magical.

my brothers played in high school, i went to way more high school hockey games than football games, like the normal kids do. i can skate in a mediocre way. (sad)

I will always love Foppa, Roy, Sakic, Drury, Hejduk, Stastny, Lemiuex, Lefebvre, Blake, Foote, Tanguay...

i still love the avs, i hope last season was the nadir and we can start improving, at least so we have a shot at losing a first round playoff series.

i digress. Those games they played when they first came here from Quebec were so high-energy and i couldn't have asked for more as a spectator... well maybe a beer but i was underage at that time.

so, yeah, hockey's my sport. if i could actually skate, i would play goalie. the most nerve-wracking for sure, but the ups and downs must be pretty exciting (not to mention the pressure). sounds fun!
