Sidebars, Wikis, Vapeheads, and Batteries!

Let me preface this by saying I am not trying to be a dick, though when someone says that to preface something, they usually are going to be one. I am terribly sorry that you are having trouble using the search. If you are not finding what you need here, may I suggest you google it? Google search for 18650 battery safety 2015 so you don't get dated information. The first two hits are to the battery bros and you know bros mean business about batteries.

As you can see, or perhaps you can't, the sub has gone through a overhaul that has changed things around quite a bit. In the coming days, I will be sure to put a few links to the the wiki or introduction stuff in the sidebar. What's most maddening is that even with all of that info in there, people will still post a question someone posted five minutes before them which can be avoided by checking the new tab up top.

The problem with a battery safety part to a wiki is this: I personally do not have enough time to compile the information. Over the past few days alone I have neglected all of my own work for the most part and to top off running a business from home that is moderately successful, I have to clean and cook and make sure my wife doesn't turn my children into hippies, as this is her busiest time of the year.

Now it may seem like I am complaining and when someone prefaces something with that, it sure does seem that's the case and probably is, but not one user has said: here's a battery safety thing I've compiled. Can you link it in the sidebar? No one. If they did, I would not tell them to frog off, but I would gladly link it in the sidebar. Now I know that it seems this is directed at you, and while you don't have the information you need to be educated, it is your job to educate yourself then. The moderator team isn't here to spend every free second they have outside of their jobs/family/ home to make content. Users can and should share the information with each other.

It's a catch 22. People are like oMG use the search function, read the sidebar, wiki, blah blah. If they have the time to respond in a negative way they could have done so being positive and fostered a community that breeds help instead of hate.

I know this is quite long so

tl;dr: any user with 300 or more karma here can edit the wiki/introduction. Users are encouraged to do so. It can be linked in the sidebar and all important links will be back in there eventually. I need some bubble wrap and to go to the post office.
