Simple Questions - January 12, 2022

Hey guys, I bought a new sata ssd and installed it today. I used double sided tape to keep it in place, but I put too much tape and it was very much stuck to the case. After wedging my fingers slowly and carefully under it I managed to remove it, because I had to flip it around on the other side. I only left a small 1cm square of bundled tape, it just "levitates" on that bundle of tape now so it will be easy to remove. My question is did I break anything if I put a bit of force on it to remove it from the case when it was glued there? I didn't check this when I took it out of the box, but there's a very small gap between the 2 "plates". As in, the 2 plates holding the ssd together aren't completely flush with each other, I assume this is normal? The PC recognises it and it works, so I assume I didn't break anything?
