Speech Therapy Contracts

I just found a school district /agency award pdf. The agencies have been offering me in the $40's an hour yet they bill over $75/hour, plus over $500 for evaluations. I have years of experience with kids with mild to severe impairments and have been making $54 an hour as an employee ( with a 401k and SS). Thing is, I hate the BS of being a direct hire in a school. I hate morning AND afternoon duties, having to serve both the school and central office, the need to write up performance improvement plans, being observed by someone who has little knowledge of the field, and being at the mercy of the head office when the dole out crazy caseloads and expectations that you will pack up and change schools when they require it. I admit it, I'm jaded and not a great team player when it comes to all that. That's why I like contracting. But I won't go backwards financially.
