This is my Speedie Pro, which I purchased in June for my 30th birthday and as an eventual heirloom for my only daughter. I absolutely love it!

Even if she won’t wear the piece, I hope one day she’ll understand why this watch meant a lot to her ‘old man.’ It represents mankind’s greatest pioneering achievement, shows that hard work and determination can reward you with a true dream (watch for me, moon-landing for the USA) and is a lovely reminder that not always were things so ‘tech-driven’ and ‘disposable’. A man buys a good watch, he buys it for life. You wind it up day in day out, you wear it and you love it. That’s something to own, something to be proud of. I hope to show her that if you take care of something, it’ll take care of you. Not much left in society is like that these days.
