[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread

hello everyone, i just got my first vintage watches: Seiko 5 Sportsmatic Deluxe 1970. love it, but there is one significant problem — even a single drop of water can get inside under the glass, it's starts to be foggy from inside even if i just breathe on the glass. today i wen to a repair shop and the guy told me that main gasket (from the back) is good, but i could't explain him that the problem is glass sealing (i'm in Bali the guy didn't speak English well). my question is: does the watch glass has some kind of gasket that may run out with time and now all the water can come in under the glass? i wanna make this old watches waterproof again, looking for advices. thank you
