Spent Thanksgiving in Verona, Italy.

I’m pleasantly surprised to read philosophy on r/travel. Similar to “If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, did the the tree really make a sound when it fell?”

Mind-bending. My take on both questions: the answer lies in the eyes of the beholder. An American is taking their tradition with them and celebrating it in an environment special to them. But to someone else, it isn’t Thanksgiving anymore because no one else around them is celebrating it. Mind-opening question, fittingly so because travel should be mind-opening.

Yeah I know this is really hippie-dippy but that’s ‘cause it’s coming from a vagabond hippie.
