(Spoilers Main) The show has officially gone off the rails

"The show about snow zombies and dragons isn't realistic enough!"

You want realistic travel where nothing happens for episodes at a time? Do you want the Walking Dead, that's how you get the walking dead. I just can't work up a single ounce of caring about teleportation as long as it moves the plot forward, I don't want long journeys for the sake of "realism"

There haven't been consequences for the main characters for years now. Arya breaking the rules with the faceless men, she gets unblinded 2 episodes later. Jon Snow gets resurrected, Dany's story is basically a master class in having zero hard consequences for mistakes. The "main characters" don't have harsh consequences, as a general rule, because then there wouldn't be a story

And military strategy? For 99% of the population this isn't even going to be in their head. The light saber battling in Star Wars isn't realistic either, but that doesn't mean it's not entertaining.

Realistic traveling may be a fun thing to complain about on the internet, but for the vast, vast majority of people who watch the show, the last thing they're doing is getting out their protractors and Westeros maps.

I get complaining about the narrative, that's fine, but when you start talking about "teleporting" and "military strategy" I just can't understand how anyone would care about that in a work of fiction. It's exactly like the people who would ask, "Why can't the eagles just drop Frodo off at mount Doom lol?" Because then there wouldn't be a story
