Study finds guns automatically prime aggressive thoughts -- even when wielded by a 'good guy'. The purpose of the new study, from Ohio State University, was to not only confirm the phenomenon but to examine the influence of contextual factors.

gun comes out at the range, not so much.

I'm not so sure about that one. Have you ever met a guy that's taking it waaaay to seriously? Or all alone in a corner? I think the thoughts of "what if" are always there when a gun is present as much as being on a sidewalk on a busy fast moving street may prompt you to think about what would happen if you were pushed or fell down in the street.

Also, opposite of this situation ever have a total newbie at the gun range and pulls the gun away from their booth? Everyone will freak out or at least look around concerned pretty quickly. Maliciousness or ineptness can produce the same net effect after all.
