What sounds extremely wrong, but is actually correct?

but that wouldnt be surprising like it's supposed to be. You would kindof be required to have that before having a programmable computer. When I looked it up a little I came across an old "program" by lovelace for a theoretical computer that someone else came up with. It's not really a program or anything and is just math equations that are formatted in a way that could be turned into a program easily enough but it's quite a stretch to call it "computer programming". (this is a picture of it: https://newatlas.com/first-computer-algorithm-ada-lovelace-book-auction/55616/#gallery:8) She did go into counting how many operations it would take on the theoretical machine but it's more like pseudo-code and even then, it wouldnt fit the description for a language that we use in the compilers class I'm taking. It was definitely impressive for the time and helped lead to the development of computer programming and programming languages but it wasn't quite one itself.
