Having made no request nor complaint (as you know) about such a self-abasing gesture as [deleted] - I'm agreeably startled by the initiative you took as mod, to delete that.

No mystery about the basis of your decision. What else would could should a mod do about a post so contemptuous - not just toward your humble respondent (my would-be cyber-stalker's 'target' as it were) - but defiant of minimal basic reddit policy, officially stated?

Normally however, I find mods mostly 'look the other way' on that character's little 'Get Dr Lao' theater in these threads. He seems to have styled himself my would-be cyber 'nemesis' - has his M.O., endlessly creating 'single use' posting names (for 'drive by, one-hit' use).

I've apparently become the center of some poor sad creep's attention here, as if their world revolves around me. What kind of gray little life someone must be 'living' (if it can be called that), with their 'hopes and dreams' (?) revolving around - yours truly.

I wonder if 'attempted stalking' (regardless how incompetent), rather than 'imitation' - is 'the sincerest form of flattery'?

From that unfortunate person's countless repetitions of his M.O. post [deleted], it seems that to him I'm all-important. As if his 'reality' is some kina delusional 'comic strip' world - and I'm like Batman (or whatever Super Hero) - got a 'secret identity' that for my vital interests - must be carefully guarded, kept.

(If you know your super hero comics).

A main subtext of DC comics - a Super Hero, if his 'secret identity' were ever revealed, would be - compromised. Like some secret agent with their 'cover blown' (e.g. the Valerie Plame affair).

And apropos of my pet would-be 'nemesis' here - one comic strip storyline, recycled for Superman, Batman (they've all gotten their version of it) - has one of their Arch Villains hatching out a plot to do just that.

In that particular 'adventures of Superman' - the plot revolves around whichever Arch Villain (in whatever color tights) - posting Superman's personal info, to try and mess him up.

If Reddit were DC comics, and I were a Super Hero with a secret identity ... that'd be a 'caper' you just 'foiled' (comic strip vocab).

Either way, no disgrace about your gesture as mod, deleting that. There is a bad reflection, I find - but not on you ScienceRocketist.

In numerous attempts by my pet 'arch villain,' as self styled (and watching with intrigue) - only one other mod (veridikal) has ever done like you, on their own initiative, unprompted - to uphold minimal reddit policy like that.

Polite of you to the offender, suggesting he might edit his comment by removing the 'personal information' (as staged) - about moi? - for reapproval. Considering (speaking from standpoint of the one 'targeted' - with deadly pea shooter) - my pet would-be stalker's whole 'meaning' was - precisely, to post personal information - in vain spiteful attempt to 'compromise' Batman, or Superman.

Dr Lao - a Super Hero - interesting and amusing, as implicit. Kudos for a conscientious action, as taken - unbidden, on moderator initiative.
