tbh I don't even notice the mask anymore

Wait when did you start having to wear masks on the daily? Are you a freshman who lived at your parents' house until now and whose High School was online since last Spring? Just curious because I've been wearing masks daily since the beginning of the pandemic: with the protesting I've been doing regularly ever since, on-campus in the 2020-21 school year, and then over the Summer whenever I wasn't at my outdoor retail job that didn't require masks (post-vax and delta had yet to flare up). The little bits that connect my ear to my head were raw and painful at first, but eventually they toughened up. Not callused-over like your knuckles when you use a pullup bar, but not unusually sensitive and fragile anymore. They now hold up to the friction of my mask straps with zero pain no different than how my legs hold up to tight jeans.
