Teachers of Reddit, what are some positive trends you have noticed in today's youth?

High school student here! I am in Portland (obviously very liberal place & I am liberal as well) and I've actually noticed this a little bit. When we're shown a BuzzFeed video in health class, saying that "there are as many genders as there are people, there are >7 billion genders" That's where I personally draw the line. Don't get me wrong, I am all for LGBTQ+ rights, I'm fine with people doing what they want with who they want, but don't try and say that's what gender is. People are unique yes, but I wouldn't say they have a unique gender, because then what's the point of assigning yourself a gender when no one person has the same gender?

Sidenote, u/_Orange_Man_Bad why the name?
