Technical support megathread 3

ok guys, halp please. My job is IT, so I'm not an idiot with computers, but apparently my rig hates FO4

I have a 980gtx with a g-sync 144hz monitor, I also run a liquid cooled overclock of my cpu that has never given me issues in any game in the past.

I installed the game, and got a random crash once prior to then stuck at a terminal, this was the beginning of my troubleshooting

I've tried using NVidia inspector or whatever to lock my fps at 60. I've set my monitor to 60hz instead of 144hz I've tried combinations of vsync on, off, gsync on, off, every combination (got plenty of tries since I crash so often). I have all the latest everything driver-wise, and am running the latest build of win10.

I crash like crazy no matter what I do. I've gotten in the habit of quicksaving nearly every minute just incase. I've had crash to desktop, and the computer locking and requiring a hard reset. I run a hardware monitor and my cpu/gpu aren't overheating (although they seemed pretty stressed for a game that doesn't look that great, no offense meant).

I fully uninstalled all video driver components in safemode, re-installed everything, I tried from scratch on Sunday, still no good.

At this point I'm thinking about putting the game on the shelf for now, which sucks, because I love fallout and what I have been able to experience in the game was pretty great (minus having to downgrade my settings to try and get it to work).

Meanwhile my roommate on a shitty outdated computer with low specs hasn't crashed once.

any help is appreciated, but I can't keep playing like this, no exaggeration I've lost around 10 hours of progress due to crashes and troubleshooting. Anything I haven't tried?
