Did your branch not get the same memo about the summer? Ours has declared that 'because there have been some cases of ALT's not answering their phones, all ALTs must now check-in hourly on every 'work-day' until 10am if they are not at a school assignment.' Apparently, this applies to the summer as well. And did you catch on to the fact yet that we no longer are allowed to leave our homes during contracted work hours, unless we're going to a school or other assignment? And since 'work-days' don't include the lunch break....better make sure you have your phone on hand at all times. Heaven forbid we go to the toilet and miss a call. Now they can dock at least half a day's pay for such irresponsible behavior.
