When I was 16 years old I met a dude in a Lowes parking lot at 11 pm. My car was completely full of bodies(living) since it was Saturday and me and my buds had nothing to do. Out of nowhere this guy walks up and asks us for a ride about a mile down the road. Now idk why this dude didn't just hoof it(which looking back was super suspicious especially since there was no room in the car and it was easy for him to see this) but I was really interested as to why some random dude would walk up to a car at 11 pm on a Saturday night in Las Vegas and ask for a ride one mile down the road.

Almost instantaneously my friends in the back seat started freaking out, "Dude we need to leave.", "Lets get the fuck out of here." they pleaded. Probably because the back right window was broken and couldn't be rolled up. As I am talking with this guy everyone is getting more and more anxious but I was more curious than scared, until I heard the following. "I am your future generation X leader and all I need is a ride to Walmart."

I'm pretty sure I have never seen that person again and the likelihood that I will is slim to none but that one statement has spawned a laundry list of questions that are all terrifying to consider. Did he ever truly become our/a future generation X leader? Is this man now a governor, senator, house representative somewhere out there in the United States? If so, did I miss a chance to call in a favor from a high ranking official just because I didn't drive him a mile down the road one time at 11 pm on a Saturday night in Las Vegas? I'm fairly certain if i met this man again tomorrow I wouldn't recognize him, but would he recognize me? Would he hold a grudge because of that one time I didn't give him a ride? To what level could this person affect my life because I thought someone saying "I am your future generation X leader and all I need is a ride to Walmart." was pretty fucking crazy? What if he really was from the future and me not giving this guy a ride has led to our eventual doom? Fucking Lowes man.
