These basically unknown salt lakes in Western Australia are not a tourist spot of any sort, but just sort of exist beautifully, occasionally putting out this stunning palette of colours!

15hrs to get to the South Eastern border of Western Australia.

28hrs to get to the next city with > 1mn people, Adelaide.

33hrs to get to the North Eastern border of Western Australia.

Roughly ~4x the size of Texas.

Not meaning to drive salt in to wounds, but fun fact about living here - due how we're required to quarantine for 14 days on returning to the state, we've gone more than 6 months without COVID in the community now. Music festival last weekend hit top of /r/australia, in questionable taste (I think all in good fun though).
