So as far as I understand this should be a battle of attrition.

The thing isn't going to die from anything chief throws at him, period. He has no weapons AT ALL that can scratch him.

HOWEVER.

This gets reaaaalllll fucky when you think about the fact that The Thing isn't going to hit Chief. Like no way in hell does he make contact with his shield other than Chief poking him to realize this.

The MC is so much faster in reaction times, fighting, and general speed that it would be a straight up stalemate.

If it is however to the death, than it becomes who lasts longer before they need to eat, sleep, or whatever.

I lean towards chief, but only because he has some equipment in his suit that allows him to go many days without sleep, food, and rest.

That being said I don't know if The Thing needs food, sleep or whatever.

This fight goes too whoever has greater sustain really.
