My Mom read In to the wild as part of Oprah's book club. She gave me a copy saying how much he reminded her of me, she was nervous when she do so.. We were born the same year. He got his Mom's yellow 79 Datsun B210 station wagon, I got my Mom's 78 same color and model. I however did not get a large sum of money to just give away. Instead of tramping around the US I tramped around Asia. Presently I am in the foothills of the Himalayas in a home I have an informal investment in, really it was for the widow and familly. I worked for the money I've chipped in to the family over the decades. I've known them and seem the improvements not just for what I have done but what the kids have made of themselves.

I don't tell my Mom about all the times I could have bit it hard over here.
