Thoughts on punctuality in the workplace

Im on the higher end of 20s, and have worked in both MNCs and government sector. Both have excellent benefits.

The MNC i worked for is more time flexible and work is on demand, so you need to produce quality work at high speed. If you don't, then your time management will be cussed.

Gov sect requires you to be on time for work. It's so toxic because people will spy on you and would complain to bosses or be gossiping to other colleagues, however work is very scheduled and not positive if you work too fast, as you will be handled more work but no credit. Thus I would always be self learning new technologies and update myself.

Of course personally I would prefer flexible working hours with scheduled workload but we can never have the best of both worlds.
