Thousands of Air Force troops set to reject vaccine mandate

I see! Okay, so here are my thoughts.

Let's look at the logic of this statement on its own terms.

Probably something like...

You've already done x, so it's not okay for you to refuse to do y.

I know the sexual assault metaphor is getting kind of overused, but this does get into issues of consent from my perspective.

Example, "You let me buy you a drink, so now it's not okay for you to refuse to have sex with me."

We could extend this to all kinds of situations of course, but I chose that of sexual coercion because I think it's most applicable.

Basically, it seems to be about consent to me. It's sort of denying the difference between x and y and dismissing the hesitations held by people who refuse to do y based on the denial of that difference.

Does that make sense? I'm happy to elaborate if helpful. If it does make sense, what are your thoughts about how I've portrayed this?
