TIFU by telling my Dad I'm atheist, and now i have nowhere else to turn

I'm an eagle scout and if have to say that this sounds kinda fishy. First off I've never heard if any troop ever even talking about religion with the scouts. Also gays are now allowed in the program even though some people didn't like it, and if your getting that much shit from your scout master then just change troops. I know like 5 troops that I were to say hey I don't believe in God but I want to finish my Eagle scout project they would be happy to help. Sure they might try and talk to me about my religion "maybe" but most likely they wouldn't. I also as recently as a few month ago went through the Eagle scout process and no where in the paper work or during the final board of review did they ask about my religion and I'll admit I'm in a catholic troop most of them have seen me at church before but even though our troop is based off a particular religion ( not all troops are) we have non Catholic kids and it's totally fine. BSA is supposed to be an equal opportunity origination that's why the gay ban was lifted because it was unfair to a particular part of society
