Tino Asprilla Reveals How He 'Tricked' Women into party with him at Newcastle "Sometimes I tricked them by saying, 'there is a party back at my house and Ginola is there'. They'd come back and be like, 'where is Ginola?'. 'Ah don't worry,' I'd say, 'He'll be back shortly'."

As a woman in a country where soccer is underappreciated, it can be difficult to find people to talk to about the latest transfer market and other news about the game.

Because of this, I've been here under different accounts for years, hoping to enjoy discourse with like minded people, with people who also love the beautiful game.

Over the last year, however, this place has shifted focus from sport to xenophobia, racism, homophobia, and misogyny. Broad and false generalizations about people are accepted as fact and promoted as relevant discussion while actual discussion about the sport has become an after thought.

I, and others, have repeatedly reported the most flagrant offenses to the mod team, but very little has been done.

This post and its subsequent comments are a good example of the deterioration of intelligent conversation of which I speak.

Not only is the topic salacious and irrelevant, many of the comments contribute to the unwelcoming atmosphere for women like me.

I get it, the majority of users here now seem to prefer making low-effort jokes and spouting short-sighted offensive comments. I guess this is just my last appeal to you to at least stop making disgusting remarks.

Otherwise, if any of you know of a sub where people can talk about soccer without all of this other stuff, please let me know.
