powdery matte lipsticks are my absolute favourite types of bullet lipsticks. think rom&nd zero gram, etude house better lips talk velvet, mac powder kiss, pmg mattetrance, peripera airy velvet stick. the texture is almost more like velvet. creamy mattes like the regular mac are fine, but not my favourite.

i also love matte liquid lipsticks for under masks, but i don't wear them as often as i used to. maybelline superstay for reliability, ysl tatouage matte stain and pony effect stayfit matte for comfort.

i used to wear velvet tints a lot too, i prefer denser formulas like bbia, as opposed to airy siliconey formulas like 3CE velvet because i like to blot them down and they aren't as good for that. innisfree cotton inks are also super pigmented, but i like the lighter shades as blush more than lipstick. not super partial to any formula rn tho.

for glossy stains, ysl vinyl stain is it for me. actually moisturizing, beautiful finish, hugs the lips, but the staining power is not as good. apieu water light tint is a good dupe but has poor longevity and doesn't have that 'hugging' quality. rom&nd juicy lasting has a gorgeous finish but the formula itself isn't as nice, drying once the gloss layer disappears, but staining is the best (in terms of longevity, not evenness).

for water/gel stains, i haven't tried many, but the etude house water tint is sheer and easy; the water gel tint is more pigmented and long lasting, but may not stain evenly, but i don't mind because it stains into perfect gradient lips for me. the ysl water stain is easier and more even, but stains less strongly, so since im going to gradiate it anyway idk if its worth being 7x the price of an etude house one.

im not fussy when it comes to clear lipgloss and lipbalm, if it works it works, so i stick to essence/mac and nivea/canmake and it works fine for me for now.

don't like satin lipsticks or opaque glosses. i do like certain glossy lipsticks though; ysl rouge volupte oil-in-stick are wonderful, except they do get drying after a few hours.

in terms of crayons, i don't like crayons so the crayons i do have are ones i really like. memebox tictoc lipsticks, candylab lipstalkers, ysl slim lipsticks, even the laneige layering gradient bars that look gimmicky but actually work for me (one of the only satin lipsticks i use).

• mlbb dusty pinks: memebox tictoc lipstick in pink bomber (!!!!!), ysl tatouage matte stain in nude emblem, ysl leathermatte in nu incongru, peripera matte blur tint in hush pink beige, pmg mattetrance in omi (not so much any more tho)

• brighter pinks: etude house better lips talk velvet in mood up (more of a vivid rose), ysl rouge volupte in coral incandescent (surprisingly wearable neon coral), pony effect stayfit matte in on point (fairy pink), candylab creampop in going wild

• mlbb 'mauves': pony effect stayfit matte in exquisite (!!!!!!!!!!!), etude house water gel tint in sweet potato red, etude house better lips talk velvet in mauve on (!!!!!!), ysl rouge volupte in rose blazer, ysl vinyl stain in carmin session, apieu water light tint in bitter rose, rom&nd juicy lasting in figfig

• orange/brown: rom&nd juicy lasting in eat dotori, etude house water stain in orangeade, etude house water stain in cherry red, maybelline superstay in globetrotter, bbia last velvet in trendy note and final note, mac powder kiss in devoted to chili (!!!!), ysl vinyl stain in psychedelic chili (!!!!!!!!!!!)

• red: maybelline superstay in pioneer, pony effect stayfit matte in incredible, ysl leathermatte in rouge paradox, ysl rouge volupte in rouge cape and red cassandre, candylab lipstalker in hot mess (burgundy), pony effect stayfit matte in fantastic (burgundy, the formula of this shade is horrible), etude house water gel tint in vampire red (for demonic days)

shoutout to my two favourite discontinued lipsticks, innisfree creamy vivid tints in dried berry and winter moonlight wine ,;-;,
