Instead of talking so much about it, why not give up your position (if you are white) and hand it over to a deserving black person to atone for the sins of your forefathers? Just do it, stop talking about it. The blacks will continue to resent you until you actually give them something, instead of going in circles and doing nothing but talking -- I am sure they appreciate it, but its no help to them at all. Your talk tomorrow will be fine and all and I am sure it will make you feel good about yourself, but if you arent willing to make concrete sacrifices that will hurt you to help blacks, to atone for your sins, then you arent really helping. Real help requires real sacrifice, something which the whites that keep having these discussions arent willing to do, arent willing to part with money. It comes down to money, and taking some from your pocket, maybe not literally but it all boils down to that in the end. Whites arent willing to actually pay a real price for their sins, so these talks arent going anywhere. Good luck.
