As with many annoying fan stories, you don't really get the full experience until you actually hear the voice. She had one of those high pitched, slightly raspy smoker's voices. With every prolonged "WOOOOOoooOOOOooOOOOoOOOoooOOOO METSSSSSS" there came along with it nineteen cracks and breaks in her voice. And as time passed, her voice got even more cracked and broken. I mean, she wore this thing down until she sounded like one of those anti-smoking commercials. She got her money's worth.
The best thing she continued to do was everytime a "Lets go Dodgers (clap clap clapclapclap)" chant would break out, she would immediately react with her own, singular "LETS GO METS" during the (clap clap clapclapclap) portion of our chant. This went on and on. So you have something like this
CROWD: Lets go, Dodgers!
WOMAN: LETS GO METS
CROWD: Lets go, Dodgers!
WOMAN: LETS GO METS
CROWD: Lets go, Dodgers!
WOMAN: LETS GO METS! WOOOOOOOOOOooOoOoOoO
She did this for every single pro-Dodgers chant. PURELY TO SPITE OUR CHANTS. She also sporadically began her own individual "Lets Go Mets!" chants every now and then. She would keep them up for about 6 or 7 repetitions each time.
For whatever reason she loved Antonio Bastardo. When Bastardo came in to pitch in the 8th (side note, fuck this guy. He takes eons between pitches) she was loving it. "BASTARDOoooooOOOooOooooOOOOOooo!!!! WOOOO! BASTARDOOOOOOOOOOOooOoooOooO"

"YEAH! BASTARDOOOOOoooOOoOOoOO!"
Bastardo gets an out?
"YEAH! GO TAKE A SEAT! BASTARDOooOOOooOOOOOoO!"
I think she just really enjoyed saying the guy's name, which to her credit is a pretty fun name to say so I don't blame her.
Honestly this woman is just a big Mets fan and I can't shit on her too much for it. She wasn't being vulgar and she wasn't being an asshole. She was just extremely loud and incredibly close like a Tom Hanks movie. She also had one of the most unfortunate voices I've heard come from a lady.
But all's well that ends well. Dodgers won and I can sleep soundly knowing we won despite her best efforts. And like I said, she was a good sport in the end.
