I hope PSAC would think things better in regards to employees striking. I work in the regions in a department that doesn't directly work much with the public and there is exactly no support for unions and government workers out here from the public. Our local has a strike fund to help top up employees to mitigate the cost of a strike but walking a picket line would have no affect on the outcome. I would rather our local supports other PSAC employees in positions that will have a greater impact on services that will make the government take notice. I.e. Have us keep working and pay from our stike fund to top up more impactful positions to 100% of their regular pay.
