It shouldn't be censored of course. But it used to be a trigger word for me. Because I had been misdiagnosed with it leading me to have treatments that I 1. Didn't need and 2. Did more harm than good. People also used it as an excuse to act as a POS towards me (this is an understatement). Hearing the word autism would cause flashbacks. But I know that my feelings towards that word should not force others too hide themselves or not talk about it. It sucks when you get triggered, but since I know the world won't change for me, I decided to treat my problems and tbh that's way better than hiding away from every word because hiding won't solve anything.
