Depends on the meaning of best.

If you mean raw power there are things like Quasar and Cosmic Blazar and the 5k flower cardian etc.

Accounting the generic summon conditions, You could make a case for Trishula, Crystal Wing Dragon, PSYFramelord Omega, Scarlight RDA depending on the situations.

Ignoring genericness there is Naturia Beast, Beelze, Void Ogre Dragon, DDD Alexander, Six Samurai Shi En, Ancient Sacred Wyvern, Karakuri synchros etc.

And if you are talking about the legacy of the cards, you have to include Black Rose Dragon, Stardust Dragon, Dark Strike Fighter, Brionac pre errata, Goyo, TG Librarian and Formula Synchron, cards that are present since release or dominated formats.

In the end I think the whole idea behind Synchros is that its this kind of toolbox where you combine monsters to make the best thing for the situation. Yes Trish is great but there are spots where Crimson Blader can seal a game or Colossal can wipe out a bunch of 2800s or deck out a Maxx C, or Thought Ruler can give you the lifepoint gain to win in time. Sometimes an Armades, Coral Dragon, Catastor or Scrap Dragon is your only out to a situation.
