Trump to roll back protections for transgender students: report

Looking at your stance seriously - is there any reason that you believe that being trans shouldn't be treated in a similar way to any other medical condition? Just because being transgender is a psychological condition doesn't make it any less valid.

To be clear, it seems you're running off of the assumption that being trans isn't enough reason to actually consider somebody their preferred gender. If you researched any of the current scientific consensus on the issue, you would find out that the attitude you currently have towards this issue is destructive. Serious question - why should your opinion be taken over the current scientific consensus? If you recognise that this consensus exists, is there a particular reason why discovering this hasn't made you look into it more and maybe re-evaluate your opinion?

I totally understand it's hard to challenge something you might have believed was an assured constant - I was in that position myself for most of my life. With that in mind, I think it's important to be open to new information when your previous data has been shown to be inaccurate.
