Thank you for this post. I have not given much thought to how I process romantic feelings, and this seems to explain a lot. I often have a very difficult time separating romantic love from platonic love. To me, the only key defining difference between these two is, one is strictly friendship, the other is basically friendship+ where you two like to hold each other's hands and do naughty things from time to time.

When I say I love my friends, I truly do mean that. It doesn't mean I love them romantically. But when I say I love a friend who has managed to flip that switch, it means all the same things as before. Just a bit more this time, because I like like them. Does that make sense?
