UNPOPULAR OPINIONS THAT APPARENTLY MAKE ME A BIGOT

Race, gender, and sexuality - It's identity politics and we're finally breaking free from it. Our political system is becoming more defined. I would say polarized (dividing into two sharply contrasting groups), but the Libertarian Party is gaining popularity. Tomi Lahren, a republican conservative woman, came out as prochoice and faced a lot of hate from her fanbase. Candace Owens and Kanye, both black, support Trump. Dave Ruben and Milo Yiannopoulos, both gay men, gained popularity for speaking out against the left and LGBT community. /r/RightwingLGBT and /r/GenderCritical regularly clash with the more popular LGBT subs.

I'm asian and people, esp. other asians, are always surprised when they realize I'm not as far left like other Asian Americans, millennials, and members of the LGBT community. There may be some tension after a political discussion, but I have never clashed with anyone irl. People assume I'm straight and I openly befriend others. By the time they realize I'm not far left or straight, they already know the real me instead of automatically labeling me a fascist or a deviant gay. The best thing about being authentic is that it attracts more people like you! You'd be surprised about how many people actually agree with you, but are too scared to voice their opinions.
